Sri Kumaran Traders

We are located on East Raja Street here in Mahabalipuram, just a short walk from Othavadai Street where all the tourists usually hang out. Sri Kumaran Traders has been around for some time now at Plot No. 82A. It’s a busy spot especially when the season is high and people are walking down to the shore. Mostly we spend our days talking to the locals who live around the temples and the visitors who stop by looking for things. The shop isn't fancy or anything like that. It is just a regular place where we keep our stock and try to get things done. Sometimes the salt air from the beach makes things a bit rusty but we manage. My uncle started this and now we just keep it going because it’s what we know. There’s a lot of noise from the bikes outside during the weekends. We have a lot of regular people who come in every week. They know where we are because we are near that specific turn. It gets quite hot in the afternoons so we usually have the fan going full blast while we check the ledgers. We don't really do much advertising or stuff like that. Most people just find us because they live nearby or someone told them to come here. We just try to keep the shelves full and the floor swept. It’s a simple life running a trade business in a place like this.
