Ashok Concrete

We are based out in Sirumailur Village, which falls under the Padur Post area. It is a bit of a drive from the main city hubs, but that gives us more space to work. The yard is quite large, which is necessary because concrete takes up a lot of room. We have the mixing units set up toward the back, and the sound of them churning is the background noise of our lives. Living and working in a village like Sirumailur means things are a bit slower than in the urban areas. We know most of the people around here, and some of the guys working in the yard live just down the road. The weather really dictates our schedule; when it pours, we have to pause a lot of the outdoor work. We don't have a fancy office, just a small cabin with a couple of chairs and a table where we keep the ledgers. It is dusty and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. Most of our days are spent checking the raw materials like sand and cement as they arrive on trailers. We are not big on talk or marketing; we just focus on the concrete. It is physical work, and we are usually pretty tired by the time the sun goes down. It is just a local business trying to stay busy in the village.
