You’ll find us on Makrana Road in Kishangarh. This whole area is known for stone, so we fit right in with the rest of the yards. Our place in Madanganj is usually covered in a thin layer of white dust from all the cutting and polishing. It’s just part of the job. We have stacks of marble slabs all over the yard, some tall and some short. It’s heavy work, and the machines make a lot of noise throughout the day. We aren't really the type to wear suits or sit in air-conditioned offices all day. Most of the time, we are out there checking the quality of the stone or talking to the drivers. The sun gets really hot on the rocks in the afternoon, so we take breaks under the shed whenever we can. It’s a busy spot because the trucks are always coming and going. We’ve been doing this for a while, and we know our way around a piece of stone. The office is just a small room with a few chairs and a desk where we keep the receipts. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it’s quiet for hours. We deal with all sorts of people, from builders to homeowners. We just show them what we have in stock and let the stone speak for itself. It’s a simple life, mostly filled with the sound of grinding stone and dust.
