Medavakkam is where we keep the shop running every day. It’s usually busy around here with people looking for tiles and bathroom things for their new houses or if they are fixing up an old one. We started this place because we knew people needed good stuff nearby without traveling too far into the city. Aravind Rahul Ceramics isn't some fancy glass building, just a place with stacks of boxes and samples everywhere. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from the cement bags, but that is how it goes when you deal with building materials. We spend most of our time helping folks pick out colors that won’t look bad after a year of use. It is a lot of heavy lifting, honestly. Moving those ceramic crates takes a toll on the back, but we have a few guys who have been here a long time and know where everything is kept. You come in, you look at what we have, and we tell you how much it costs. No big secrets or complicated sales talk. We just want to make sure the inventory moves and the customers get what they paid for. It’s a lot of paperwork too, keeping track of what comes in from the factories and what goes out on the small delivery trucks. Medavakkam has changed a lot lately, more traffic and more buildings, but we just keep doing our bit here day after day.
