Poseidon Aquatech Pvt. Ltd. is based out in Neelankarai, specifically at Ranga Reddy Gardens. It’s a nice enough spot, 3/490 is the house number. We are close enough to the coast that you can feel the salt in the air on some days. Our work revolves around water technology and aquaculture, which sounds complicated but mostly involves us looking at tanks, filters, and pumps all day. We have a small yard where we keep some of the bigger equipment. It isn't a shiny corporate headquarters. It’s more like a converted house where we’ve set up our desks and testing gear. Some of the plants in the garden are doing well, others not so much because we forget to water them while focusing on the business. We don't have a secretary; we just pick up the phone ourselves. If we are out at a site helping a client, you might just find the gate locked for an hour. We deal with a lot of local fish farmers and people who need water systems. It’s practical work. We get our hands dirty quite often. There’s no big manual on how we run things; we just handle problems as they come up. It’s a quiet street usually, which is good for thinking. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors know us as the water people. We just keep doing our thing.
