Down in Sriperumbudur, specifically at Plot No.E 14 in the Sipcot Industrial Park, you’ll find Borgwarner Cooling Systems P Ltd. Being in Mambakkam Village means we are a bit of a drive from the main parts of Chennai, but it’s where all the big manufacturing happens. We focus on cooling systems, which is pretty important given how hot it stays in Tamil Nadu for most of the year. Our facility is practical. It’s built for production, not for showing off. We have a lot of staff coming in from the nearby villages and Kancheepuram to help keep the lines moving. It’s a serious environment because the parts we make have to fit perfectly, but we still try to keep a friendly atmosphere. We don’t use a lot of corporate talk here. We just talk about schedules, parts, and making sure the machines don’t break down. The industrial park is huge, and it can feel a bit impersonal sometimes, but inside our gates, we know each other's names. We deal with a lot of logistics since we’re out here in the SIPCOT area. It’s about getting the components built and shipped out on time. We don't have a grand vision statement or anything. We just want to produce good cooling systems and keep everyone employed. It’s a basic, honest day’s work for all of us. The trucks come and go, and we keep the factory humming along.
