Axles Idnia Ltd. is situated right on Singaperumal Koil Road. If you know the area, it’s a pretty busy stretch with a lot of industrial activity going on. We specialize in making axles, which means the floor of the shop is usually full of heavy metal parts and the sound of machinery. It’s a dirty job sometimes, with grease and metal shavings around, but that’s just how manufacturing goes. The team here is mostly made up of people from the nearby towns who commute in every morning. We’ve got a mix of older workers who have been doing this for decades and some younger guys just starting out. The warehouse is usually stacked with finished products waiting to be loaded onto trucks. We don't have a big fancy office; it’s mostly just desks shoved into the corner of the building where we handle the paperwork and orders. The noise from the road outside is almost as loud as the machines inside some days. We usually start quite early in the morning to beat the heat, and things wrap up by late afternoon. It's a straightforward operation. We make the parts, check they’re okay, and ship them out. There’s not much more to it than that. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but we manage. It’s a solid place to work if you don't mind getting your hands a bit dirty and staying on your feet for most of the shift. The metal work keeps us grounded and keeps the days moving along.
