We are located in the Sengundram industrial estate, out in Kancheepuram. It’s No 8 on the list of units there. The shop floor is where most of everything happens. It’s noisy and there’s always a bit of oil on the ground, which is just how these places are. We make tools. Not the kind you use for gardening, but industrial stuff that goes into bigger machines. It’s a lot of metal work and precision, though we don't talk about it in fancy ways. We just follow the specs we get. The weather here in Tamil Nadu gets really hot in the summer, so the guys take breaks under the fan whenever they can. We've been at this S.P. Koil Post address for some time. We aren't a massive factory with thousands of people, just a local outfit doing our bit. Shipping things out can be a bit of a chore depending on the trucks, but we manage. You’ll find us busy with the lathes or the milling machines most mornings. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they need something specific made near the estate. It’s straightforward work. We show up, do the machining, and head home. The tools we make go to various places, and we just hope they work like they are supposed to.
