Ekalavya Model Residential School

So Ekalavya Model Residential School is right here in Kakinada. We are at Door No 70-3-57/4 in the Ramanayyapeta area. It’s a pretty busy spot most mornings when the sun starts coming up over the coast. Since it is a residential place, things never really stop. There are always kids around, even late in the evening when the streetlights are on. You can usually hear them playing or talking from the balconies. The building itself is practical, not one of those fancy glass structures you see in the bigger cities. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the daily stuff, like making sure the kitchen is ready and the dorms are clean enough. Ramanayyapeta has grown a lot lately, so there is more traffic on the road than there used to be five years ago. Sometimes the mail gets dropped off at the wrong door because the numbering around here can be a bit confusing for new drivers. If you are looking for us, just look for the big gate near the 533005 pin code area. It’s nothing too special to look at from the outside, but it stays quite lively inside. Most days are just a mix of classes and chores. We try to keep the garden out front from drying up when the heat gets bad in May. It is just a normal school where people work hard and the kids stay busy.
