Vinayak Craft

Vinayak Craft is located at H-74 in Shastri Nagar. It is basically a home-based workshop where we spend our time making various handmade items. The house is always full of materials like beads, thread, and pieces of wood. We don't have a formal showroom, so if people want to see our work, they usually just come into the main workroom. It can be a bit overwhelming because there is stuff everywhere you look. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and stay close to home. My sister and I do most of the crafting while our mother helps with the finishing touches. We don't use many machines, preferring to do almost everything by hand with simple tools. The neighborhood is quite lively, so there is always the sound of kids playing or people talking outside our gate. We keep the windows open to let in the light, though it gets a bit dusty in the afternoons. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just make things and sell them to people who stop by or through local contacts. It is a slow process and we don't rush through the work. If something takes a week to finish, then it takes a week. We value our time and the effort we put into each piece. It's just a small family business and we are happy with how things are.
