Saffron Art & Craft

Our workshop is located over at E-105 in the second phase of Basni. It’s not a very quiet spot because there’s always someone hammering or sanding something down. The space is filled with the smell of sawdust and sometimes paint if we are finishing a batch. We have a small office corner where the fan rattles a lot, but it keeps the air moving at least. People drop by sometimes to check on their stuff, and we usually have to move a few crates just so they can walk through the middle of the floor. The floors are never really clean for more than ten minutes. We spend most of our time looking at sketches or checking the wood for cracks. It is practical work, nothing too flashy. My hands are usually a bit stained by the time I head home for dinner. We keep a ledger for everything, even though everything is moving toward computers these days. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit of a mess, but we still manage to get the loading done on time. It is a steady life here. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address painted on the wall. Most of the people who need to find us already know where we are anyway. It’s just a normal day of making things and getting them shipped out.
