Lily Art Exporters

Lily Art Exporters is located at number 28 in the Heavy Industrial Area. We are right opposite the Diesel Shed, which is impossible to miss because of all the engines and the smell of fuel. It’s a very industrial part of town, so it’s not exactly a pretty place to work. The building is a large warehouse style space with high ceilings and heavy doors. We have a lot of crates and packing material stacked up against the walls, waiting for when things need to be moved out. The floor is mostly concrete and has some yellow lines painted on it that have faded over time. There is a small office upstairs where the phone rings more often than we’d like. From the window up there, you can see the trains moving in and out of the shed across the street. It’s noisy and there’s always a fine layer of soot on the windows. We spend a lot of time wrapping items and making sure the labels are on straight. The staff has been here for years, and we all know each other’s families by now. We usually eat our lunch sitting on some of the sturdier crates while watching the activity in the street. It’s a hardworking environment where nobody worries too much about how they look at the end of the day.
