Sigma Handicraft

You can find Sigma Handicraft at number 4 in the Heavy Indl. Area. It might seem a little strange for a handicraft place to be right in the middle of all these big factories and heavy machinery, but it works for us. The noise from the neighbors is constant, but once you get inside our space, it feels a bit different. We are surrounded by raw materials and the things we are currently putting together by hand. It is a lot of manual work, and our hands are rarely clean at the end of the shift. We do not have a big sign or a lobby. The floor is concrete and often covered in shavings or bits of thread and wood depending on what we are making that week. The sunlight comes in through the high windows, which is better than the dim electric lights we have in the back. We have a small kettle for tea that basically runs all day long. Sometimes the heavy trucks on the main road make the whole building vibrate, but we are used to it by now. It is a simple life here, just making things one by one and making sure they are sturdy enough to last. We do not go in for marketing or big talk; we just focus on the pieces sitting on our workbenches until they are finished.
