Shree Nemi Art Exports

Our workshop is over in the Basni industrial area, specifically the Iind Phase near the Maruti Dharmkanta. If you know the area, you know it's full of dust and noise, but that’s just how it is in M.I.A. We are at E-286. It is a decent-sized space, though we always seem to run out of room for all the pieces we are working on. We do a lot of art export work, which basically means we spend our days looking at finishes and making sure the packing is solid. People usually find us because they’re looking for someone who knows how to handle these types of goods. It’s not a quiet job. There’s always the sound of tools or someone moving crates around. We’ve been here for a good bit of time now. The guys in the shop have been with us for years, and they know their way around the materials better than anyone else. We don’t really do much advertising; word just gets around. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a bit hot in the summer, especially with the metal roof, but we have some fans that help. We just try to keep things moving. There is always a pile of wood or metal somewhere that needs attention. It’s steady work, and we like being in this part of town.
