Heritage Craft

We are over here in Basni, specifically in the Mia Second Phase on Gali No 8. Heritage Craft has been sitting in this spot for some time, and it’s usually quite a busy street with people moving stuff back and forth all day long. If you look for E 634, that is us. We spend most of our hours working with different materials, mostly wood and stuff like that, trying to make things that look decent and hold up well over the years. It isn’t always clean work, honestly. There is usually a bit of dust on the floor and the sound of tools going, but we like the routine of it. We don't really have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we get things done and talk to the people who stop by. Sometimes the weather gets really hot in the afternoons, so we slow down a bit and have some tea, but then it’s back to the benches. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a while, so they know the smells of the different finishes and how to handle the heavy pieces without hurting their backs too much. We just focus on what’s in front of us. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and being part of the local area here feels right. We know the neighbors and they know we’re just here doing our job. It’s a good enough life for us.
