Our little place is at 31-A, K.N. Nagar. It’s a quiet residential kind of neighborhood, so we don’t get the huge crowds you’d see downtown. That suits us just fine. We have a small workshop area and a front room where we keep our finished work. It’s mostly just a few of us here every day. The space is a bit cluttered with tools and scraps of material. We aren't the best at filing papers, so there’s usually a stack of mail on the corner of the table. We started this because we liked making things with our hands and it just stayed that way. We don't have a big sign with flashing lights. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. The afternoon sun comes through the side window and makes it hard to see for an hour or so, but we just move the work to the other side of the room. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s a good one. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the neighborhood. Sometimes the kids from the street come by to see what we’re doing. We don't have a corporate office or a boss in a suit. We just do our work, pack up the orders, and go home to our families at the end of the day. It’s simple and honest.
