Bharat Arts & Crafts

Bharat Arts & Crafts is located at 28/5 in the Heavy Industrial Area. It’s a bit of a drive out here, and the roads can be a little rough with all the heavy trucks moving around. We spend our days making things by hand and with some older machines we’ve had for a long time. The workshop gets pretty warm in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. There is always a lot of sawdust or metal scraps around, depending on what we are working on that week. We aren't a big corporation; it’s just a group of us who know how to build stuff. Sometimes we run out of space because of all the raw materials piled up in the corner. We don’t really do much advertising. People usually find us because they know we are out here in the industrial zone. It’s a practical setup. We have a bench where we sit for tea breaks, and that’s usually when we talk about what needs to get finished by Friday. Our hands are usually dirty, and there is always some project sitting half-finished on the floor. It’s just how we operate. We don’t try to make the place look like a showroom because it’s a working shop. We just focus on the crafts and making sure the pieces are solid before they leave the gate. We’ve been here for years and the routine hasn't changed much.
