Our place is out on Salawas Road in Sangaria, right near the railway crossing. You can hear the trains passing by pretty often, which is something you just get used to after a week or so. We are located at Plot J1-179. It is a bit of a dusty area, especially when the wind blows across the open ground nearby. Atharva Art isn't a gallery with soft lights; it’s more of a working space where things actually get made. We have stacks of materials and finished pieces sitting around in the yard. Most days, you will find a few of us out there working with our hands. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes the sun is really beating down on us. We keep a cooler of water handy. The neighbors are mostly other workshops, so there is always a bit of banging or sawing sounds in the air. People find us because they heard about what we do or they just saw the sign by the road. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. We just focus on the pieces we are working on and try to get them finished on time. Sometimes the trains hold up traffic at the crossing, so things move a bit slower around here. It is a simple life and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and continue making our things as best we can.
