Home Atmosphere

We are over at E-637 in the Basni Second Phase of the M.I.A. area. The name on the sign is Home Atmosphere, and we spend our days putting together things that eventually end up in people’s houses. Basni is a gritty, industrial part of Jodhpur, so it is a bit of a contrast to be thinking about home comfort inside a dusty factory. We deal with various materials, and there is always a lot of activity going on. You might hear saws cutting or the sound of sewing machines, depending on what we are working on that week. The space is filled with crates, rolls of fabric, and half-finished items waiting for the next step. It’s not an organized showroom; it’s a working site. We have a small office tucked in the front where the bills get paid, but most of the action is in the back. The lighting isn't great, but we have big doors that we keep open to let the air move through. Our team is a mix of people who have been here forever and a few newer faces. We don't really do big marketing campaigns. Most of our work comes from people who know us or have seen our products elsewhere. We just focus on keeping the production moving and making sure things are packed properly so they don't break during transport. It is a lot of hard work in a noisy neighborhood, but we like the feeling of creating something tangible every day.
