Safakheri Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is based out of Safa Kheri, right at number 18 in the village. It is a quiet spot in Jind, but there is always something happening with the fields. We started this company because farming on our own was getting much too difficult to manage. It felt better to pool what we have together. Most days you will find us just sitting and talking about what needs to be planted next or how the soil feels this year. We are not big city people. We are just local farmers who know this part of Haryana very well. The weather is always unpredictable, so we try to look out for each other when things get rough or the rain does not come. We handle a lot of the local produce and try to find better ways to sell it without losing our profit to people who do not even work the land. It is not a glamorous job, mostly just dealing with dirt and manual labor, but it keeps our village going. We have lived in Jind all our lives, so we know the people and the land better than anyone else. There is no corporate structure here, just a few of us trying to make the farming pay off. We share equipment when we can and try to keep the costs low for everyone. Every new season brings a different challenge, but being together makes it feel a bit more manageable for the whole community.
