Kabarchha Farmer Producer Company Limited is located right in Vill. Kabarchha in Jind. Our office is at House Number 602. If you know the local bus stand, we are very close to that. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. It makes it easy for people from other villages to find us, though. We started this company because we wanted to have more say in how our crops are sold. Jind is a big farming area, but individual farmers often get ignored. By coming together in Kabarchha, we have a bit more weight. The house we work out of is just a regular home. We have one room set aside for the company files and a big table where we sit. It’s usually dusty because of the road, but we don't mind. We spend a lot of time drinking chai and discussing the government rates. Sometimes the arguments get a bit loud, but we are all friends and neighbors. We don't have any polished marketing materials. We just talk to people face to face. That’s how things get done in our village. It’s been a learning curve for all of us, especially the legal stuff. We just want to do right by the local farmers and make sure the work we do in the fields pays off in the end. That is why we are here near the bus stand.
