Mohangarh Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are over at village Mohangarh, specifically house number 302. It is a small place in the Jind district where everyone knows their neighbors. We started this farmers producer company because we saw that working alone was not helping us get ahead with the bigger buyers in the market. Now, we gather at this house to figure out our plans for the season. It is mostly just a group of friends who have been farming side by side for decades. We deal with the usual crops grown in this part of Haryana, like wheat and mustard. Some days we are busy with the tractors and other days we are just sitting around trying to get the books and accounts straight. It is a very hands-on operation. We do not have assistants or big offices; if something needs doing, one of us just goes and does it. The soil in Mohangarh is good, but you have to treat it right or it will not give you anything back. We share what we know about the land and try to get better prices for everyone in our group. It is an honest way to live, even if it is very tiring. We are just trying to make sure our families can keep farming for another generation without too much struggle. There is no corporate polish here, just a lot of mud on our boots and a real interest in seeing our village succeed. We take things one day at a time.
