St Xavier S High School

If you go down Bedi Road in Jamnagar, you’ll find us at number 34. St Xavier S High School has been part of this neighborhood for quite some time now. It’s a familiar landmark for people living around here. The building has that old look to it, like it’s seen a lot of years go by. We have a big gate and a yard where everything happens. In the mornings, it’s a bit chaotic with all the cycles and cars arriving at once, but it settles down quickly once the bell rings. The hallways are wide, and the air smells like old books and floor cleaner most of the time. We don't have fancy gadgets in every single corner, but we have what’s needed to get the teaching done. Sometimes the bells are a bit loud, but they keep us on time. The staff room is usually full of papers and half-empty tea cups. It’s a busy place, but not in a stressful way, more like a lived-in way. We know which floor tile is loose and which window sticks when it rains. Jamnagar is a busy town, and being on Bedi Road means there’s always something happening outside our walls. But once the school day starts, we just focus on the lessons. It’s a steady rhythm that hasn't changed much over the years. We just keep doing what we do every day without making too much of a fuss about it.
