You can find us in Lalpur, which is part of Jamnagar. This school has been a fixture in the community for a long time. It’s specifically for girls, and we take that responsibility seriously, though we don't make a big show of it. The building itself shows its age a little, but it’s sturdy and serves its purpose well. Most of the folks around here went here themselves or have daughters who do. We don’t have fancy high-tech gadgets in every corner, but we have enough to get the job done. The courtyard is where most of the action happens during breaks. It can get pretty dusty when the wind picks up, but the girls don't seem to mind much. We spend a lot of time organizing the schedules and making sure the classrooms are tidy. It’s a local place through and through. The walk to the school is familiar to everyone in this part of Lalpur. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or a leaky roof when the monsoon hits hard, but we just patch things up and keep going. We don't have a big PR department writing things for us. It’s just us teachers and the office staff trying to keep things organized. We like the quiet rhythm of the school year. It feels like home to most of us who spend all day here. We keep the gates locked during school hours for safety.
