Ekta High School

If you walk down Limda Lane and turn into Bhid Bhanjan Mandir Lane in Jamnagar, you’ll run right into us. We are tucked away in a busy part of the city where things always feel a bit crowded. Being near the temple means there is always something going on nearby, whether it’s a festival or just the usual morning crowd. Ekta High School is a place where we just try to keep things moving. We have students from all over the neighborhood. The building is older and the stairs are worn down from so many feet climbing them every day. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when everyone is in the halls at once, but we manage. We aren’t a big, shiny institution. We are just a local high school where the teachers know most of the parents by their first names. Sometimes the power goes out or a window gets stuck, and we just fix it and keep going. The kids come here to get through their exams and hang out with their friends. We don’t have a massive playground, so they mostly gather in the small courtyard or the lane itself. It’s just how Jamnagar life is. We do our best to keep the noise down so we don’t bother the neighbors too much. It’s a plain, honest kind of place and we like it that way. It’s our second home, really.
