St Gregorios High School

Our school is right here in Jamnagar, and it's been a part of the neighborhood for a long time. When you walk through the main gates in the morning, there is always that specific sound of hundreds of kids talking at once before the first bell rings. It’s a bit loud, but you get used to it after a few years of working here. The building itself has seen a lot of students come and go. We have the usual classrooms, some are a bit drafty when the wind picks up, and the desks have names scratched into them from years ago. The teachers spend a lot of time in the staff room drinking tea and going over lesson plans or grading papers that seem to never end. We don't have fancy gadgets in every corner, just the standard chalkboards and some old maps on the walls. It’s a plain place, really. We focus on the basics and making sure the kids actually show up and do their work. During the breaks, the playground gets pretty wild with football or just kids running around in the heat. Jamnagar gets quite warm, so the fans are always humming in the background. It’s just a regular school where we try to keep things organized and make sure everyone follows the rules. It isn't always perfect, and sometimes the roof needs a bit of fixing, but we make it work every day for the families around here. It is just a part of the daily life in this city.
