Dhrol is a small town, so everyone knows where Shri G M Patel Girls High School is. We’re tucked away in a spot that’s easy for the local girls to reach. Being a girls' school, we have a bit of a different atmosphere, I think. It’s usually a bit more organized, though it gets just as loud as any other school during the lunch break. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a plain structure that’s served us well for a long time. We have classrooms that have seen many generations of students. Jamnagar district can be quite dry, so the schoolyard is often just hard-packed earth, but the kids still find ways to enjoy themselves. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or advertisements. Most people hear about us from their neighbors. The teachers here are mostly local women who have been part of the community for decades. We just focus on the daily routine: lessons, exams, and the occasional school event. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We want the girls to be able to read, write, and handle their subjects well. There are no grand speeches here, just the sound of pens on paper and teachers explaining math or history. It’s a quiet, steady life in Dhrol, and we’re just a part of that everyday fabric. Nobody here is looking for fame, we just want to see these girls do well.
