Shri Devabhai Samatbhai Gojiya Vidhyalay is located at number 16, Ahir Vidhyarthi Bhavan on Pandit Nehru Marg in Jamnagar. This part of town, 361001, is usually quite busy with traffic and people going about their business. Our school is part of a larger building complex, so it doesn’t look like a traditional school from the outside. Once you get inside, though, it’s all about the students and their classes. We have several classrooms tucked away, and they are usually buzzing with activity throughout the day. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a huge garden for the kids. It’s more of an urban school where space is a bit tight but we make it work. The teachers share a small room where we keep our books and drink our tea during the short breaks. We’ve been here for a while and the building has its quirks, like the one door that always sticks in the monsoon season. We don't try to sound like a big corporation with fancy talk. We’re just a group of people trying to provide a decent education to the local kids. Most of our students come from the nearby streets and walk here. We spend a lot of our day just managing the flow of people and making sure the schedule is followed correctly. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment for everyone. We focus on the books and the exams, and making sure everyone gets a fair chance to learn.
