Shree Mph Shah High School

We've been here in Lalpur for quite a while now. Shree Mph Shah High School is just that spot on the map in Jamnagar where the local kids end up every morning. It isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a sturdy building where we try to get through the lessons each day. Most of us living around here know the sound of the bell ringing and the kids running out at the end of the day. The classrooms are basic. We have desks that have seen better days and chalkboards that get used until they are white with dust. People here in Jamnagar know us because their brothers or cousins probably came here too. It is a bit noisy sometimes, especially during the breaks when everyone is out in the yard. We don't have a huge staff, just regular folks from the area who know the families around here. Sometimes the roof leaks a bit when the rain gets heavy, but we manage. It is just a school. We teach the subjects required and hope the students learn something useful for their lives later on. You won't find a glossy brochure here. It’s mostly just paperwork, old wooden chairs, and the smell of tiffin boxes at lunchtime. We are easy to find if you are walking through Lalpur. We just keep things moving, one day at a time, making sure the gates are open on time.
