Pragati High School

Pragati High School is located at 65, Goriyali, which is in the Jamnagar district near the Rajpara post office. It is a bit removed from the main city buzz, sitting in a more rural setting. This means we have a bit more space, but it’s a very basic setup. The school is a simple one-story structure for the most part. We have a few trees in the yard that provide some shade during the hot afternoons. Most of our students come from the nearby villages, so they often walk or come on their bikes. It’s a quiet life out here. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so we make do with what we have. The classrooms are plain, and the blackboards are well-used. We don't have a formal reception area or anything corporate like that. If someone needs to talk to us, they just walk into the main office. The staff is quite small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s teaching or fixing a broken desk. It’s a practical environment. We don’t try to be something we aren't. It is just a school for the local community where kids can get their basic education. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider. We’ve been here for a long time and plan to stay for a lot longer.
