Modi School

You can find us over on Saru Section Road in Jamnagar. It’s a pretty well-known part of town. The school building is an older one, with thick walls that help a bit when the sun is really beating down in the summer. We have the usual setup with rows of benches and fans that hum all day long. The staff room is always a bit cluttered with stacks of notebooks and half-finished cups of tea. We don’t have fancy elevators or air conditioning in every room, but we get the job done. Jamnagar is a place where everyone kind of knows everyone else, so we see a lot of familiar faces at the gate. The mornings are the busiest when the buses arrive and the street gets blocked up for a few minutes. We try to keep the garden at the front looking decent, but the dry weather makes it tough. Mostly, we just focus on the lessons and making sure the exams go off without any trouble. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to parents about how their kids are doing. We’ve had a few repairs done lately, but there’s always a door that creaks or a window that won’t quite shut. It’s just how things go. We’ve been part of this community for years, and we just keep doing what we do every day.
