Late Shri Premchand Devraj Shah High School

Our high school is located at 41, Bajana, which is in the Khambhalia taluka of Jamnagar. It’s named after Late Shri Premchand Devraj Shah. We are out in a more rural part of the district, so the atmosphere is a bit different than the schools in the middle of the city. The school serves the older students from the surrounding villages. Many of them have to travel a bit of a distance to get here. The building is a sturdy one, built to last. We have several classrooms and the usual facilities you need for a high school. It’s a place where people work hard. You’ll see students carrying heavy bags and teachers with stacks of notebooks. We don’t have much in the way of landscaping, just the natural ground around the building. During the dry season, it gets quite dusty. We focus on the subjects required for the state exams. It’s a straightforward environment. No one here is trying to be anything we aren't. We provide the space and the teachers for the kids to get through their high school years. The staff room is often full of tea cups and lesson plans. It’s a quiet life out here in Bajana, mostly centered around the school schedule. We’ve been here for many years, seeing classes come and go through the 361001 area. The wind can get quite strong across the open ground, but the school stands firm. It's just a regular part of life for the families living here.
