Working out of Jamnarar is quite an experience because of how huge the industrial side of things is here. We are known as Essar Oil, though locally we just think of it as our daily spot. The drive out here can be long depending on where you stay in the Jamnagar area, but once you get to the site, everything is very focused. It is a massive area with a lot of heavy machinery and pipes everywhere you look. Our specific area is just one part of this giant puzzle. The office we use is practical and built for the environment. It is dusty sometimes because of all the construction and movement around the site, but that is just part of the job. We spend a lot of time in meetings or checking on the operations. There is a lot of noise from the plants, a constant hum that you eventually stop noticing. We eat our lunch together and talk about the day's tasks. It is not a place for suits and ties; it is a place for boots and hard work. The weather can be harsh, very dry and hot, so we stay hydrated and keep moving. Even though it is a big industrial name, the people working here are just regular folks trying to do a good job. We have been part of the Jamnarar landscape for a long time now and we know the rhythms of the plant.
