Microm Metal Industries

Microm Metal Industries is located at Plot No. E-232-A in Phase-2 of the GIDC. GIDC is a massive area, and Phase-2 is always humming with the sound of different factories, so we fit right in. Our focus here is mostly on metalwork, which means our plot is often filled with the clanging of sheets and the hum of our equipment. We’ve been at E-232-A for quite a while now, and we’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in the estate. We’re still here, though, just doing the same kind of work we’ve always done. The workshop isn't the prettiest place—it’s got stained floors and plenty of metal shavings in the corners—but it’s where we do our best work. We don't have a big management team; usually, the person you talk to on the phone is the same person who’s out there running the machines. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don't really go for all the modern office trends. We just have a small corner where we keep our files and eat our lunch. The heat from the machines can be quite a lot during the summer months, but we’re used to it by now. Most of our guys live nearby, so there’s a real local feel to the place. We just try to keep things simple, work hard, and make sure we get everything finished by the time the weekend rolls around.
