Brasstech Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Plot No. 3081 in Phase III of the Dared GIDC. If you’ve ever been to the GIDC here, you know it’s a massive place full of activity and dust. Our plot is right in the middle of it all. We deal with brass mostly, so there’s always that specific smell of metal in the air. The floor is usually covered in fine brass shavings by the time the afternoon rolls around. It’s a busy environment and we don’t have much time for small talk. We’ve got the machines lined up, and everyone has their own station where they’ve been working for quite a while. Dared is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the noise, but we are used to it by now. We don't have any air conditioning in the main area, just some old ceiling fans that hum all day. Our office is just a small partitioned space where we keep the ledgers and the phone. It’s not the kind of place where you’d see people in suits. We wear our work clothes and we don't mind the grease. Most of our day is spent making sure the orders are filled and the quality is okay for the next stage. It’s a straightforward operation at Plot 3081. We just show up, do the engineering work, and head home when the sun goes down.
