Shailesh Eng. Works

If you go to K-1/295 in GIDC-1, you will find our place tucked in between a few other workshops in the Shankar Tekri area. Shailesh Eng. Works is basically just a group of us who enjoy mechanical stuff. It is a bit cramped sometimes because we have a lot of equipment and raw materials taking up space. We’ve been in Jamnagar for a long time now. The street outside is always busy with tempos and people moving boxes around. Inside, it’s mostly us focusing on the lathes and tools. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans on the walls. We just have a calendar and a few photos of our families. Most of our customers are local people who have known us for years. They know we are usually here from early morning until late evening. Sometimes we stay even later if there is a big job to finish. We don't really do much advertising because word of mouth in the Udyognagar area is usually enough. It’s a practical kind of life. We deal with the heat, the noise, and the grease every single day. When the weekend comes, we’re usually pretty tired, but we’re back at it on Monday. It’s just how it is. We like the work, even when it’s tough, and we like being part of the Jamnagar industrial community.
