About Anchor Brass Industries – Metals & Minerals in Jamnagar
Working out of 25/B in the G.I.D.C. Udyog Nagar area means you’re always surrounded by the sound of manufacturing. Patel Estate 4 is a busy pocket of Shanker Tekri, and there’s always a truck loading or unloading something nearby. We handle a lot of brass work here, so the smell of metal is something you just stop noticing after a week of working here. Our unit is tucked away near the jakat naka. It’s a practical space, mostly filled with raw materials and the tools we use every day. We don’t have a showroom or anything like that. If someone wants to see what we do, they usually just walk right into the workshop and see us in our work clothes. It’s often dusty, and the floors are never really clean for more than ten minutes, but that’s the reality of a brass factory. We have a few guys who have been with us for years, and they know the machines better than anyone. We don’t really bother with big speeches or long-term strategy sessions. We just look at what orders are on the board and start working through them. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves. It’s a very direct way of living. You make something with your hands, you pack it up, and it goes out the door. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
