Zamindara Dhaba

You will find our dhaba right on the Pathankot-Jammu Highway. We are located near Raya More in the Jakh area, which is close to Bari Brahmana. If you are driving towards Jammu, you cannot miss us near the 17 Miles landmark. We are a typical highway stop. The ground is mostly gravel and dirt. We have long tables and benches where truck drivers and travelers sit down to eat. The kitchen is open, so you can see the rotis being made in the tandoor. It gets very smoky and hot near the fire. We serve simple food like dal, sabzi, and parathas. We use a lot of butter and ghee because that is how people like it here. It is a 24-hour kind of life. Someone is always awake to serve tea or a meal to a driver who has been on the road for hours. The bathrooms are basic and we try to keep them usable for the public. It is not a restaurant for a fancy date. It is a place to get full and continue your journey. The wind blows a lot of dust from the highway, so we are constantly wiping down the tables. We have some regular drivers who always stop here. They like the familiar taste we provide. We don't have a menu card. The waiter just tells you what is ready at the moment. It is a hard life working on the highway, but we like the constant movement of people.
