Yatri Bhojanalya

If you walk down Vir Marg in Jammu, you will find us right opposite the Raghunath Temple. It is a very busy area with all the pilgrims coming to visit the temple every day. We opened Yatri Bhojanalya to give people a simple place to eat without any fuss. The street is usually loud with bells and people talking, which is just how life is here. We do not have a big team, just a few of us who handle the cooking and the serving. It can get quite hot in the summers, so we try to keep the place as cool as we can for anyone walking in from the sun. We see a lot of families who travel from far away to be here. Our setup is quite basic because we think that is what people need when they are tired from traveling. We keep an eye on the clock because the temple timings usually dictate when our rush hours are going to be. Sometimes we run out of certain things late in the evening if it has been a particularly busy day. We have been at this address for a while now and most of the shopkeepers nearby know us well. It is a honest living and we enjoy seeing the same faces return year after year. Jammu is a nice city, and being on Vir Marg puts us right in the middle of everything.
