Over in Jammu, specifically in Karan Nagar, you’ll find us at House No 21. We go by the name Nationalhighwayauthority Of India. It’s a bit different working out of a house rather than a big glass office block, but it suits us just fine. Karan Nagar is a decent area and being at House No 21 makes us feel more like part of the neighborhood than a big distant organization. Jammu has its own pace of life, and we try to stick to that. We deal with a lot of paperwork and plans regarding the roads and highways around here. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure things are moving along like they should. The office is just a regular building where we’ve set up our tables and computers. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights out front. Most people in the area know where we are if they need to find us. It’s a practical setup. We spend our days talking to contractors or looking at maps and charts. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when there’s a big project starting, but mostly we just keep a steady rhythm. Working in JK has its challenges, especially with the weather and the terrain, but we’ve been doing this for a while. We aren't here to make a big scene. We just want to get the work done from our little spot in Karan Nagar. It’s a quiet life but important for the roads.
