133 Kb Substaion Public Development Departmentjammu

Up here in Jammu, specifically in Channi Himmat, we’ve got this little setup at Hno 320 in Sector 5. It’s a public development department thing, mostly focused on the 133 Kb Substaion work. It isn’t the kind of place where people wear suits. Most of the time we are just looking at plans or dealing with some power issue that cropped up overnight. The weather gets really sharp here, either too hot or quite cold, and the office reflects that. We’ve got some old chairs and a lot of paperwork piled up on the side tables. People from the neighborhood stop by sometimes to ask about the power or when certain work will be finished. We try to give them a straight answer, though things often take longer than we hope because of parts or weather. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. There are blueprints that have been sitting in the corner for months and the tea cups never seem to get washed right away. We aren’t trying to be anything big. We just handle the substation stuff and make sure things don’t fall apart too badly for the Tawi Jk area. Working for the department means there is always something to fix. Sometimes we just sit on the porch of the house during breaks and watch the traffic go by. It’s regular work for regular people, and we do not put on any acts about it.
