Our place is located over in Old Satwari, at House Number 50/2. It’s a busy part of Jammu, and we’ve been operating out of this spot for quite a while now. If you’re coming down the main road, you have to look closely to find the turn. We aren't a big showroom with glass windows and bright lights. It’s more of a neighborhood shop where we handle mobile phones and connections. Most of our day is spent talking to people who live nearby. We get a lot of regulars who stop in just to say hello or ask a quick question about their handsets. The building is old, which gives it some character, I guess. We have a small counter and a lot of boxes stacked up in the corner. Sometimes it’s a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once. Jammu gets hot in the summer, so the ceiling fan is always running at full speed. We do our work, keep our notes in a diary, and try to make sure everyone leaves happy. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We don't use any complicated systems here. Just a basic computer and our own hands. It’s a nice community to be part of, and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The monkeys sometimes run across the roof in the mornings, making a lot of noise, but we just laugh about it.
