S K A E Inter College sits right in Akbarpur, Sikur, which is a part of Sasni in Hathras. It’s a fairly straightforward place that’s been around for a while. You won’t find any big glass walls or fancy elevators here. Instead, there are solid walls and classrooms that have seen a lot of students over the years. The morning starts early when the gates open, and you can see the kids coming in from all around the Hathras district. Some walk, many are on bicycles, and they all gather in the courtyard before things get started. The building itself is just a regular structure, nothing to brag about, but it does the job. In the summer, it gets quite hot, so we rely on the ceiling fans and the breeze coming through the windows. The staff here mostly live in the local area, so they’re familiar faces to the parents. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know us because we’ve been here in Sasni for such a long time. There is a playground where the boys play cricket or just hang out during lunch. Sometimes the paint on the walls looks a bit old, but we try to keep things tidy enough. It is a quiet spot, away from the main highway noise, making it a decent place to spend the day. Life moves at its own pace here in this corner of Uttar Pradesh.
