Amol Kumri B V Inter College is situated in Dhaur Pur, right near the Hathras Junction Railway Station. You can hear the trains whistling and the announcements from the station throughout the day. It is a busy spot because of the railway, so there is always people moving around outside. The post office is in Hathras Junction too, which makes things convenient for our mail. Our college building has been here for quite some time. It is an intermediate college, so we have students who are a bit older, preparing for their final school exams. The stairs are worn down from years of students walking up and down them. We have a small courtyard where students gather during their breaks to talk or share their food. The classrooms have high ceilings and large windows, which helps when the weather gets humid. It is not a very modern place, but it serves the people living around Dhaur Pur and the station area well enough. Most of our staff live nearby and have been coming here for years. We do not have a lot of expensive equipment, just the basics like blackboards, desks, and a small library with old books. The routine does not change much from one year to the next. We open the gates early, the classes happen, and everyone heads home when the sun starts to go down. It is just a steady, local place for the students to finish their schooling.
