Vrindavan Dhaba

Vrindavan Dhaba is located at 2, Cool Road in Jalandhar City. We are in the New Jawahar Nagar area, right across from Lajwanti Hospital. Being near a hospital means we see people at all hours, and some of them are quite tired or stressed. We try to keep the atmosphere here simple and straightforward. As a dhaba, we focus on the tandoor and the big pans of food. The heat from the fire is always there, and the smell of burning wood or coal is part of the experience. It is a noisy place, especially when the lunch and dinner rushes start. We have a lot of people from the neighborhood and also workers from nearby shops who come in for their meals. The street outside, Cool Road, is usually packed with cars and rickshaws. We spend a lot of time cleaning the wooden tables and making sure the water jugs are full. It is not a place for a quiet, formal dinner. It is a place where you sit down, eat your food, and move on. We have been in Jalandhar for quite a while, and we know many of our customers by their names. The work is physically demanding, but it is what we know how to do. We just keep the kitchen running and make sure the food is ready for whoever walks through the door. The evenings are usually the busiest time for us.
