Surindra Engineering Works

You can find Surindra Engineering Works right on Railway Road in Nakodar. It’s a busy spot with the trains passing by quite often, so it’s never really quiet around here. We’ve been here in Nakodar for a long time, fixing things and making parts for whoever needs them. The shop is usually covered in a bit of oil and metal shavings, which is just part of the daily job. We have our lathes and welding gear set up in the main area where we do all the heavy lifting. It gets very hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going as much as we can. Most of our days are spent listening to the sound of metal being cut or joined together. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby for people to wait in. If you walk in, you’ll probably see one of us in greasy overalls working on a project. We take on whatever work comes through the door, whether it's a small repair for a neighbor or something bigger for a local business. People know us around here because we’ve stayed in the same place for so long. We use old-fashioned tools mostly, things we know how to fix ourselves if they ever stop working. There’s no big corporate office behind us. It’s just a local engineering shop where we try to be practical and get things done. Nakodar is a good place for a business like ours because everyone knows where Railway Road is. We just keep our heads down and work on the machines.
