Saffron Public School

Our school is located on Khotran Road in Phagwara, which is a fairly straightforward area to find. The address is 144401 and it feels very much like a part of the local town. Every morning, the buses pull up and the whole place comes alive with noise. We don't have anything too fancy here; it's just a solid building where we do our work. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up from the fields nearby. Inside, we have the usual rows of benches and the sound of chalk on the boards. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the day-to-day tasks, like checking the attendance or making sure the water coolers are full. It's a very normal routine. During lunch breaks, you can smell the different foods the kids bring from home. We have a playground that gets quite a bit of use, even if the grass isn't always perfectly green. It’s just how things are in a local school like ours. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a group of people working together on Khotran Road. The seasons change, the kids grow up, and we stay here doing the same things year after year. It's a steady way to live and work. We appreciate the quiet moments after the students leave and the building finally settles down for the evening.
