Being on Kapurthala Road in Jalandhar City means we see a lot of the daily hustle. Seth Hukam Chand S D Public School is just a part of the landscape here. Most mornings, you can see the buses pulling in and parents dropping off their kids before they head to their own jobs. It’s a busy atmosphere. Jalandhar is a working city, and we are a working school. We don't put on a lot of airs. The building is solid and has plenty of rooms, though some of them feel a bit cramped when the classes are full. We try to keep things organized, but with so many kids running around, it’s always a little bit messy. That’s just how a school should be, I suppose. The staff here are mostly local folks who have been in Jalandhar for years. We know the families and we know the shops down the street. We don't really have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just talk to the parents when they come by the office. There’s a small garden area that we try to keep tidy, though it’s a struggle with the Punjab dust. We just focus on the basic subjects and making sure the kids are decent to one another. It’s a simple life here on Kapurthala Road, and we are fine with that.
