Kids Public School

Kids Public School is located out in Nurpur on Dhogri Road. We are part of the Kids Educhargovind Nagarational Society, which sounds like a big name, but we are a fairly small and humble operation in Ward Number 5. Jalandhar is a busy city, but our corner of it is a bit more relaxed. The school building is basic and functional. We do not have air conditioning in every room, but we have good fans and big windows to let the air in. Most of the kids who come here are from the local families in the neighborhood. We know most of the parents by face because they walk their children to the gate every morning. The road outside can get some heavy traffic with trucks, so we are always very careful about the kids staying inside the compound. We do not have a fancy reception desk. If you come by, you will likely just meet one of the teachers who is taking a break. We focus on the basics of reading and writing. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when it rains or when a teacher is out sick, but we always figure it out. It is just a regular school for the local community. We do not spend money on big signs or glossy posters. We just try to provide a decent place for the kids to stay and learn while their parents are working.
