Mohan Vaishno Dhaba

Our dhaba is right in the middle of the New Sabzi Mandi in Maqsudan. We are at Pm Booth No- 11-12. If you know Jalandhar, you know the vegetable market is a place that never really sleeps. Early in the morning, the trucks start coming in with all the fresh produce, and the noise is something else. Mohan Vaishno Dhaba is where the workers and the truck drivers come to eat. It’s a very simple place with basic benches and tables. We don't have air conditioning or soft carpets. It’s a place for people who work hard and need a meal. The address is 144021 if you need it for the mail. Being in the Mandi means we are surrounded by crates of tomatoes, potatoes, and onions all day long. It can get quite muddy when it rains because of all the vehicles moving around. We have two booths joined together to give us enough space for the kitchen and the seating area. We don't have a fancy printed menu. Usually, we just tell people what we have made for the day. It’s honest work and we have been doing it for a long time. People know us for being consistent. You won't find any decorations on the walls, just the basic necessities. We open up before the sun comes up to catch the early market crowd. By the time most people are waking up, we have already served dozens of cups of tea and plates of food.
